Why fall for greasy and calorie-laden potato fries when you can treat yourself with these wholesome and protein-packed chickpea fries. These chickpea flour fries are crunchy, packed with nutty flavors and are a perfect snack for the whole family. Serve them up with my dairy-free coconut dill dip or any dip of your choice!
Mix all ingredients in a pot and cook over medium heat for 5 minutes until it has become super thick!
Flatten your mix onto a lined baking sheet as evenly as possible and pop it in the fridge for 15 minutes to firm up.
Place your chickpea dough onto a large baking tray. Slice it into fry shapes or any shape you choose and return to the baking sheet. Make sure to keep spaces between the fries so they can crisp up.
Bake at 400f for 25-30 min flipping halfway through, and serve with your favorite dip!
I used a COCONUT DILL DIP - mix coconut yogurt, garlic powder, onion powder, lemon juice, salt, freshly chopped dill, salt & pepper. Or you can use my homemade high-protein vegan tzatziki or cashew sriracha mayo - recipes linked above in blog post!
