This vegan vanilla mug cake is so sweet and tastes just like a real cake! And best of all it is make in under 5 minutes in the microwave! It is a much healthier alternative to regular cake and can be made in the same time frame as a commercial break on tv! It is perfect for a late night treat and when you’re done there will be hardly any dishes left over!

  • Oat Flour
  • Peanut Butter
  • Maple Syrup
  • Plant Milk
  • Vanilla
  • Baking Powder
  • Salt
  • Vegan Chocolate Chips – I use the brand by Enjoy Life!

How to make my vegan vanilla mug cake

This vegan mug cake is the perfect easy dessert you can enjoy in less than 5 minutes!

Mix your ingredients. Add all of the ingredients into a small microwave safe ramekin and mix well.

Microwave the ramekin for 70 seconds. If it still does not look done pop it back in for 10 second increments. Keep in mind the longer you microwave the more dense the mug cake will be, as opposed to it being light and fluffy.

Enjoy your vegan mug cake as is or drizzle on some powdered peanut butter, vegan ice cream or some chocolate sauce!

Substitutions & Additions

  • Swap the oat flour for any other flour you’d like!
  • Try out a different nut butter!
  • If you don’t have maple syrup you can use another liquid sweetener!
  • Use some cacao nibs in place of vegan chocolate chips.
  • Try adding in some fresh fruit!
