Vegan Caprese Skewers with Balsamic Glaze

These vegan caprese skewers are salty, sweet and so light and refreshing! This easy vegan appetizer is loaded with flavor and will wow any crowd! They are also vegan, dairy free, oil free and gluten free! Bring these to your next gathering as a fancy appetizer or as a finger food for a cocktail party!
What ingredients do I need for my vegan caprese skewers
- Extra Firm Pressed Tofu
- Basil
- Cherry Tomatoes
- Balsamic Glaze
- Salt, Pepper & Oregano
How to make vegan caprese skewers
Press your tofu using a tofu press or by wrapping it in a kitchen towel and placing a heavy object on top. Press for 10 minutes.
Slice and Season. Slice your tofu into small cubes then toss with salt, pepper and oregano.
Assemble your mini caprese skewers with 1 cherry tomato, a cube of tofu, a basil leaf and drizzle with a balsamic glaze.

Some tips from Steph
Drizzle some olive oil over top of the skewers for an authentic taste!
Make a vegan caprese salad! Use the same ingredients but swap cherry tomatoes for large thinly cut tomatoes. Slice the tofu into large thin rounds to mimic the classic caprese salad look!
Make them ahead of time for an easy set up! You can make these the night before!
Add some cubed avocado for some healthy fats!

Vegan Caprese Skewers with Balsamic Glaze
Ingredients
- 1 block Extra Firm Tofu pressed slightly
- 300 g Cherry Tomatoes
- ½ bunch Fresh Basil
- 1 tsp Oregano
- ¼ tsp Pepper
- ¼ tsp Salt
- 2 tbsp Balsamic Glaze for Drizzling
Instructions
- Slightly press your tofu using a tofu press or by using a kitchen towel and pressing the liquid out with your hands.
- Slice the tofu into small cubes then toss in salt, pepper and oregano.
- Slice your cherry tomatoes in half and pick leaves off of your basil.
- Assemble your caprese salad skewers with one tomato, one leaf of basil and one cube of tofu. Drizzle with a balsamic glaze and enjoy!
