How to make tofu feta cheese:

The prep time for this tofu feta cheese takes only 5-10 minutes! First press your tofu by wrapping it in paper towel or a dish towel and placing a heavy object on top. This releases the juices from the tofu so that it can absorb more flavor! Make the tofu marinade by adding all ingredients to a jar. Shake well the combine. Add the cubed tofu to the marinade and let it marinate for 1-2 hours minimum. It tastes best after marinating for 6 hours+ or overnight!

Does this really taste like feta?

Although this do not taste exactly like feta cheese, it has many similar flavors. By using ingredients such as olive oil, oregano, lemon juice and dill, the marinade gives the tofu a Mediterranean flavor. It also has a salty kick just like real feta cheese. However, I am not going to sit here and tell you this tastes exactly like feta cheese! Most vegan cheese substitutes do not. This is simply a healthier alternative that has some of the same flavors as feta, not an identical match!

Can you eat raw tofu?

Yes you can eat tofu straight out of the packaging! Packaged tofu actually already comes precooked so it is completely safe to eat as is! It may seem weird to some to eat it without cooking it further, but once pressed the tofu absorbs a lot of flavor and tastes very delicious! It took me a while to get used to it, but now I love eating tofu right out of the package! I often chop it up and add it on top of my salads when I need a quick protein source!

How to eat your tofu feta cheese:

This tofu feta cheese is so full of flavor it can be eaten straight out of the jar! I have brought this to social events multiple times and every time I do everyone is obsessed and begs for the recipe! It’s great to bring to potlucks, BBQ’s, pool days, or any social gathering for that matter! You can also add it on top of your salads, crumble it on top of your avocado toast or use it for meal prep alongside some rice and veggies! This would also work great on a vegan charcuterie board with some olives and French bread! The possibilities are endless!

How to store your tofu feta cheese:

This tofu feta cheese can be stored in an airtight jar in the fridge for up to 5 days, if it lasts that long! It actually tastes better the longer it sits as it absorbs all of the flavors! You can even make a double batch for meal prep and eat it throughout the week!
