Greek Style Vegan Souvlaki
If you are vegan or vegetarian and are dearly missing Souvlaki I’ve got you! This Greek Style Vegan Souvlaki is just as good as the meat based alternative! The tofu is perfectly marinated, grilled to perfection and so salty and zesty. You can eat the tofu souvlaki on its own, make it into skewers with some veg or my favorite into a souvlaki wrap with vegan tzatziki! If you have tried my popular Tofu Feta Cheese recipe and loved it then you will love this recipe! It is the same marinated tofu but made grilled and made into a sandwich!

How to make Greek Style Vegan Souvlaki
To make Greek style souvlaki we will need a few things:
Tofu Chkn: The star of the show here is the tofu chkn. To make your tofu taste like chicken requires some Mediterranean spices and some marinating. First press your tofu using a tofu press or with a kitchen towel and a few heavy objects. Once pressed slice into ‘chicken’ strips. Next add your marinade ingredients into a container, shake well to combine then add in your tofu to marinate for a few hours. Once the tofu is marinated, grill or bake in the oven until crispy.
Sauces: For me Vegan Tzatziki is a MUST for a souvlaki wrap. Luckily, I have a delicious vegan tzatziki recipe that can be found here! I also love adding in some plain hummus for even more delicious flavour!
Making the wrap: I like to use whole wheat pita to sneak in some extra whole grains! Layer it up with that Vegan Tzatziki and Hummus, then add on your tofu chkn, veggies and enjoy!
How to eat your tofu ckhn souvlaki
My favorite way to eat this tofu chkn souvlaki is in a pita with veg and sauces but it can be used for many other things!
- Slice your tofu into cubes and add to a skewer with some other veggies for a vegan souvlaki BBQ!
- Pan fry, bake or grill your tofu souvlaki to experiment with your favorite technique.
- Add this tofu souvlaki on top of salads or Buddha bowls.
- In a rush? Eat this tofu raw after marinating as is or add it to salads. It is sooo insanely delicious!

Tofu Feta Cheese
Ingredients

- 1/4 cup Olive Oil
- 3 tbsp Lemon Juice
- 1 tbsp Apple Cider Vinegar
- 1 tbsp Nutritional Yeast
- 1 tsp Onion Powder
- 1/2 tsp Garlic Powder
- 1/4 tsp Dried Dill
- 1/2 tsp Oregano
- 1+1/2 tsp Salt
Instructions
- Press your tofu using a tofu press or by wrapping it in a towel and placing some heavy objects on top. Leave for a minimum of 15 minutes to release the liquid so it can absorb the marinade. Then chop into small squares.
- Add the marinade ingredients to a large jar and shake well.
- Add in your cubed tofu to the marinade and shake well to coat. Let it sit for a minimum of 30 minutes to absorb all the flavor. Ideally let it sit overnight, this is when it tastes best!
