This sweet potato pizza crust is a game changer! The only ingredients you need are oat flour, sweet potatoes, and some optional spices! This crust is so healthy you can have pizza every single day of the week! It holds the pizza together very well and if filled with tons of fiber and delicious flavor! After trying this dough you’ll want to have pizza every night of the week!

How to make sweet potato pizza crust

This 2 ingredient sweet potato pizza crust is so simple to make and only requires a few steps:

Cook your sweet potato. I cook mine in the microwave, it only takes about 5 minutes. Stab a few holes in the sweet potatoes with a fork then place onto a plate. Microwave one potato at a time for 5 minutes, flipping halfway through. You’ll know it’s done when you can stab it all the way through with a fork.

Use the oven. If you don’t want to use the microwave you can cook your sweet potatoes in the oven. Wrap them in foil and bake for 30-40 minutes at 400 degrees f.

Mix your dough. Let the potatoes slightly cool then peel off the skin and measure out 2 cups of mashed sweet potato. Add this to a bowl along with your oat flour and an optional spice mix, I used an Italian herb spice mix. Mix well until a dough ball forms.

Bake. Divide the dough into 2 balls then place onto a lined baking tray. Wet your hands and form the balls into pizza crust shapes, about half a cm thick. Wetting your hands will make them easier to handle. Bake your dough for 15 minutes at 400 degrees then remove from the oven, add on your toppings and bake for another 15 minutes.

Storing your sweet potato crust

You can keep your cooked pizza in the fridge just like a regular pizza for up to 3 days! If you want to make the dough ahead of time, you can mix it and store it in the fridge the night before then bake it the next day.

Use a different flour. You can use any flour you’d like for this sweet potato dough recipe. You just may need to add a little more or less flour depending on what kind you are using.

Switch up the spice mix and use anything you’d like! You can use Indian spices, or make it sweet with some cinnamon!

Use another potato. Any potato will work here! Try using a Yukon gold, russet, or even a purple potato!

Ingredients
  

  • 2 cups Mashed Sweet Potatos about 2 medium sweet potatoes
  • 2 cups Oat Flour
  • 1 tbsp Italian Seasoning optional

Instructions
 

  • Stab a few holes in your sweet potatoes with a fork. Place on a plate then microwave one potato at a time for 5 minutes, flipping halfway through. You'll know it is done when you can stab it all the way through with a fork.
  • Let the potatoes cool slightly then peel off the skin.
  • Measure out 2 cups of mashed sweet potato and add to a large bowl along with 2 cups of oat flour and a spice mix of your choice (optional).
  • Divide the dough into 2 circles and place each dough ball onto a lined baking tray. Wet your hands then form the balls into a crust shape, about half a cm thin.
  • Bake for 400 degrees f for 15 minutes.
  • Remove from the oven, add your toppings then bake for a further 15 minutes.
