Recipe Tips for Raspberry Protein Fudgesicles
Swap Raspberries: Experiment with different berries like strawberries or blueberries, or swap the chocolate protein for vanilla for a delicious twist.
Sweeten to Taste: Chocolate protein powder is the key sweetener. However, you can add a touch of maple syrup for added sweetness. Taste the mixture before freezing and tailor it to your preferences.
Storage Tip: Store them in an airtight container in the freezer for up to two weeks. Just remember to wrap them individually to prevent them from sticking together.
Drizzle peanut butter over the fudgesicles for an extra layer of flavor.
Use Ripe Raspberries: For the best flavor, choose ripe raspberries. They should be plump, juicy, and have a vibrant color. Frozen ones work fine if you can’t find fresh raspberries.
Use Good Quality Protein Powder: Use premium quality protein powder that doesn’t require additional sweeteners. I love Vedge Nutrition chocolate protein powder as it sweetens the popsicles and adds a protein boost.
Incorporate Nut Butter: For an extra layer of flavor and creaminess, add a spoonful of almond, peanut, or cashew butter to the blender. It also boosts the protein content.
Let them freeze for 6-8 hours: Allow the fudgesicles to freeze for 6-8 hours or overnight (if you have time). Rushing this step can result in a less-than-ideal texture.
Garnish: Garnish with mini chocolate chips for added texture and flavor.
