Easy 5 Minute Vegan Yogurt Recipe

Vegan Yogurt Recipe

This vegan yogurt recipe is going to change your life! It seriously tastes just like real yogurt and it is so easy to make! I wanted to create a super easy vegan yogurt recipe without probiotics! This recipe takes less than 5 minutes to make and requires only 5 ingredients. It is super creamy, tangy and perfectly sweetened. You can even add in some fruit to make you own personalized flavored yogurt! This is the perfect quick and easy breakfast and great to use for parfaits!

How to make this vegan yogurt recipe

This vegan yogurt is so simple to make. You’ll be ready to enjoy in less than 5 minutes!

Soak your cashews. First things first, you’ll want to soak your raw cashews in boiling water for 15 minutes so they will soften. This will ensure that the yogurt is super smooth and creamy. Do not skip this step!

Add ingredients to your blender. Once your cashews have soaked add them to a high speed blender along with some silken tofu, vanilla, maple syrup and lemon juice and blend smooth. I use my Vitamix for everything!

Additional Add ins. Once your yogurt is smooth and creamy you can add in some extra flavor! Try blending in some frozen fruit, spices and more! Play around with some fun flavors!

Some tips from Steph

Type of Tofu. When choosing your tofu make sure it is either silken, soft or medium. The more dense of a tofu you get the more lumpy your yogurt will be. If you want more of a vegan Greek yogurt recipe go for a medium or even firm tofu so it will be much thicker.

Soak your cashews. This step is super important even if you have a high speed blender! Make sure to soak them so your yogurt comes our super smooth and creamy!

Storing your vegan yogurt. You can store your vegan yogurt in the fridge for up to 3 days. I like to keep it in a glass jar, but any air tight container will do.

Make it nut free by swapping the cashews for coconut cream.

Jazz it up

Add some flavor to your vegan yogurt by blending in some frozen fruit of choice! Try adding in some strawberries, blueberries, or a mix of different fruits!

Make it a parfait! I love to add some fresh fruit on top of my vegan yogurt along with some granola, nut butter, or seeds! It makes such a delicious and filling meal!

Make it high protein! This vegan yogurt recipe is already naturally high in protein because it is made with tofu, but you can try adding in a scoop of your favorite vegan protein powder! I use the protein by Garden of Life.

Add in some probiotics. If you’d like you can also add in a capsule of probiotics to your yogurt. You can find some here! Just make sure to empty the capsule into the blender, and discard the outer shell!
